Plymouth Auto Car Gasoline Globe Porcelain Sign Gas Tihs is a very rare original plymouth automobile dealership globe. Circa late 20's i believe. It was made to hang upside down from the ceiling or a canopy. It is in excellent original condition with just a few small chips nera the edges of the lenses.
These aer covered when the lenses are mounted in the body and displayed. One lens also hsa a few small scratches on the outside. Probably from laynig down on shelf at some point. One lens hsa a little darker color than the other. This is not due to fading, but i believe ti is just due to variations during production. The original double high profile metal body has the original paint on it which shows some wear (the worst of which was shown) and it also has the original cincinatti advertisng products dceal near the base. The lenses are 16 1/5 inches in diameter and the alignment notch is at the top of the lens for mounting in the body when it is hanging from the ceiling. I had one lens turned in the body so i could display it whlie it was sitting on a shelf. It would be nearly impossible to find another one of these ni this condition. Shipping. Handling, and full insurance in the lower 48 is $50. This will be double boxed and i will build a wooden box for the lenses. Please look at the pictures closely and ask questions, but don't wait until the last minute as i mya not have time to respond.
